Boys who train at our top-flight club have the privilege of being part of the Bijelo-plavi football family. This also applies to the youngest members of the Club, the participants of the Open Football School, which began operating on 1 August 2016. Since then, it has brought together around 150 boys of different age groups, some of whom are still preschoolers.
The most beautiful thing is seeing children smile
“I am very pleased with the number of children who have joined us, and especially with their reaction. I can say that we have achieved our primary goal. We want them to be happy, to play and have fun, and we can see the joy on their faces. In addition, every new gathering and training session helps create and strengthen their connection with the Club, while the children and their parents become part of our Club community. We coaches also need to adapt to them, not only in terms of basic football training, but above all from a pedagogical and educational perspective. It may sometimes seem like it is all just fun and games, but the fact is that it requires a high level of organization,” said Miroslav Žitnjak, Head of the NK Osijek Football Academy.
Registration is always open
Dear parents, give your young footballers the opportunity to feel happy and comfortable in our environment. Some of them will surely go on to enjoy successful football careers, just like the many Croatian internationals who took their first serious football steps at NK Osijek before going on to represent Croatia and play for major European clubs.
To register your child for the NK Osijek Open Football School, please come to Opus Arena on Tuesday or Thursday before the start of training at 6 p.m. and contact one of the coaches from the youth categories or the Open Football School coordinator, Dražen Vidović. The entrance for Open Football School participants is located on the north-west side of Opus Arena.
Training sessions take place every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 p.m.
Registration for the Open Football School is available to children born between 2018 and 2021.
For training sessions, children should come dressed in sportswear and appropriate sports footwear.
The monthly membership fee is €40.00, payable exclusively upon receipt of an invoice for the previous month.
