Seven English Citizens arrive in Osijek to Support Team!
During the Croatian El Classico, seven English citizens arrive to support NK Osijek.
The story begins 10 years ago, when some of them chose to support a club that they will support outside of England. They looked up different European league brackets and picked the HNL, choosing Osijek, who was at the bottom of the bracket. The boys come from London, Bristol and Plymouth, some of them already having been 4 times in Osijek. It is primarily fans of Arsenal that spent two wonderful days in Slavonia, having only been disappointed by the score in the end. They praised the vigor that was visible in the fans of NK Osijek, mostly due to the new organization and way of things in the club itself. They love the city, so they explored it to the fullest, too.
They bought all the possible merchandise!
Some of them arrived in the team’s colors, but they didn’t miss the chance to purchase even more and newest merchandise.
A local, Tomislav Buljubasic, told us how he spent the time with them. He says that it is cheaper for them to come to Croatia than to go support their Premiership matches in the stadiums because the price of admission is so expensive for Premiership games.
The Englishmen took photos in Gradski Vrt, and announced their return in spring.
