The game in which Osijek and Istra 1961 will fight it out has another layer of importance in the fact that on this Saturday, Kohorta celebrates its 29th birthday. Our players are now especially motivated because they want to pay dividends to their loyal fans who support them on the East Tribune. “The boys are beating the drums of inspiration and we expect their full support all of the time and our obligation is to give 110% effort on the playfield. A victory would be the best-suited gift for Kohorta’s birthday” said Mile Skoric, center-back for the Boys in White-and-Blue.

The fans need no special motive

At Kohorta, nothing much is being disclosed as to what they will prepare for their anniversary. They want to stay vague about it, so Ivica Polih, the leader, announced only that the atmosphere will be magnificent:

- It’s not even a question, wasn’t in previous games, either. We don’t need a special motive to go wild for Osijek and carry them to victory. We believe that we will arrive in great numbers, since we are talking about a 3rd spot placement here - said Ita.

It has become a nice tradition that the Boys in White-and-Blue celebrate wins with the fans post-match, when “Osijek, ale” can be heard roared in the stadium, from the East Tribune.

- Yes, for that we have really become known, together with our team. We expect that we will celebrate and on Saturday evening, the surprise might be great - Polih cryptically concluded.
