NK Osijek gave contributions in the action with Coca-Cola to light up the Pedestrian Bridge. As it’s known, our citizens collected 108,048 bottle caps from diverse bottles of the soft drink, while NK Osijek got a huge box and threw a symbolic 1947 caps into it, remembering NK Osijek’s founding year in that way.
- Big thanks go out to the guys at the club because they supported us all the way, just like we supported them in the “Pokrenimo Grad” project. We thought of what we could do in that direction and decided to light up our signature bridge, Pjesacki Most. Even though we gathered enough caps, the citizens are still collecting, which proves that we struck gold with the project. We are now in the process of procuring necessary items that should arrive by May the 20th , after which their implementation would commence - said the regional representative of Coca-Cola, Stjepan Petrovic.
Coca-Cola logo visible on jerseys
Those who gathered the most caps were awarded a jersey in a beautiful frame, all the while a truly festive atmosphere was present. NK Osijek and Coca-Cola have achieved some business agreements regarding the playfield, too. They signed a 1-year contract, so that the 14-16 and 16-18 age groups are carrying the Coca-Cola logo in the CNL division now.
- This is our showing support for the younger categories who always “spewed out” talent left, right and center, many of whom played for NK Osijek’s A-team and the national team. We wish that NK Osijek may rely on its School of Football long-term. We signed the contract in a duration of 1 year, but I am sure that we will extend it when the time comes - Petrovic added.
This cooperation was certified as satisfactory by NK Osijek’s director Igor Galic, who expressed that they set beautiful things in motion by “Lighting our Bridge”.
He said: - Regarding the branding of the club, we familiarized the brand to the masses and we delivered in terms of bracket results. Coca-Cola is a world-renowned brand and we are happy to have come to an agreement with them, especially since the focus lies on our Football School.
