Osijek was unable to win at Stanovi in the past 12 matches there while Zadar still played in the First League.
Despite Zadar’s current status as a third-league team and their being no apparent threat to Osijek in the round of sixteens, the statistical advantage still lies with Zadar. At this stadium, Zadar and Osijek have played 26 championship matches in which Zadar won 15 times. Eight matches were a tie, while Osijek won only 3 times.
Wednesday’s match will be a test in which Osijek will attempt to break a bad streak, besides the main objective of moving up the ladder. It is hard to believe for many that Osijek hasn’t been able to win the past 12 matches here, only achieving a tie (4 times) against a furiously motivated home team.
Tadic as a double striker
The last official victory in Zadar was in October of 2004 with a score of 4-2, Tadic scoring twice and Primorac and Jukic once. Osijek took the lead in the first half with Primorac’s goal, Primorac going to the bench later on with Tadic arriving and scoring twice. When Osijek had taken an astonishing lead with 4:1, everything was decided and the points were on their way to Osijek.
