Kohorta were the prime supporters, cheering for Osijek’s striker who played brilliantly against Istra.
After the match between Osijek and Istra 1961, Gabriel Boban stole the show. His play deserved the praises, as did Kohorta’s incredible cheering as th players left for the locker rooms. Velicanin in the blue-and-white jersey was a constant menace to the away team’s defense. After all, he had assisted Hajradinovic in his leading the boys, only to strike in the final moments for a final 2-0.
After weak showings against Lokomotiva and Rudes at Kranjcevic street last week, this was quite the match to win, and we had to win it. Again, it wasn’t easy, but we showed strength and deservingly won, said Boban immediately after match end.
Perfect Second Half
The game hadn’t been as we’d hoped for in the first half. However, the second half proved to have been much better and more efficient on Osijek’s part: We entered the game all cramped up, so mistakes were plenty. During the break, we made a deal on how to play in the continuation and it proved good so we made it. Thanks go out to our fans and those who support us.
