FC Sveti Mihovil Got A New Paying Field (Artificial Grass), the Club Itself Being Funded by the Santini bros., Ivan and Krševan.
After Sunday’s game against Hajduk in Poljud, NK Osijek isn’t returning home yet, for they will extend their stay for one more day at Croatia’s seaside. Osijek’s finest have received an invitation to the opening of NK Sveti Mihovil’s new field in Sutomišćica on Ugljan island. It is all credited to our goalkeeper, Krševan and his brother, Ivan (striker for Caen), who are aiding the small football club. Both are members of the executive committee.
Meštrović Immediately Supported the Idea
A new football field was laid in Sutomišćica, made out of artificial grass, with plans of building the surrounding structure.
‘’President Meštrović immediately accepted my suggestion to play a symbolic match there and simultaneously establish a positive relationship with FC Sveti Mihovil. He took liking to the idea and I am especially happy to play on Ugljan on what is to be quite a ceremonial occasion. Our wish is to renovate everything, especially the changing rooms, the lighting around the field. All these efforts are made possible by the municipality of Preko’’, Krševan emphasized.
NK Sveti Mihovil’s players are proud to have amassed 1,500,000kn to renovate the field and they hope for the HNS’ and the Olympic Committee’s aid in what they hope to build in the future.
