Ejupi and Grezda in Recovery
These preparations will neither see Ejupi, who is recovering from a kidney disease, and Grezda, who is recovering quickly. He must heal his ankle so that he may return to training and all of us know that his time is coming, which is also true for Ejupi. It’s possible that the odd new face will join Osijek during their being in Austria and Alen Petrovic is actively making sure that happens, along with his scout Marin Skender. It’s clear that the attendance list, which holds names such as Kamenar, Radeljic and Ivusic, isn’t finalized, so that we will see who else joins Osijek’s ranks.
Control Matches to Commence
During the 14 days, Osijek will play 5 control matches. Their first opponent will be Hungarian champions Videoton, with who they already played on Saturday in Frohnleiten. After that, Osijek will face Macedonian champions FC Shkendi in Kumberg at 18:00. The third trial will be played on Saturday, June 30th in 13:00 against Scottish St. Johnstone in Bischofshofen.
After the Scots, on the 3rd day, Osijek faces their strongest opponents, Russian champions Lokomotiv from Moscow in Murau at 18:00. A day later, Osijek will play their last match in which Zekic’s chosen will play ZTE Zalaegerszegi. That duel will be played in St. Lambrecht in 18:30.
