BOCKAJ’S GOAL THE BEST OF THE SEASON

A Fantastic Free Kick vs. Rijeka and Barisic among Best Eleven of HNS

A day before the friendly match between Croatia and Senegal, the HNS organized an award ceremony in Vukovar to award the HNS Trophy to the winners. On that occasion, best National Player was voted Luka Modric, who had previously won his 3^rd Champion’s League title with Real Madrid. Among his rivalry were: Andrej Kramaric (Hoffenheim), Dejan Lovren (Liverpool), Mario Mandzukic (Juventus) and Ivan Rakitic (Barcelona).

Lokomotiva’s midfielder Lovro Majer was voted Best Young Footballer up to age 21, winning over Josip Brekal (Wolfsburg), Filip Benkovic (Dinamo), Duje Caleta-Car (RB Salzburg) and Borna Sosa (Dinamo).

Zekic in Competition as Well

Dinamo Striker El Arabi Hilal Soudani was voted Best 1^st League player, leaving behind Borna Barisic, Heber (Rijeka), Lovro Majer and Zoran Nizic (Hajduk). Best Goalkeeper was Dominik Livakovic (Dinamo), with Matjaz Kek voted as the laureate of the coach division (Rijeka), beating our coach Zoran Zekic and Lokomotiva coach Goran Tomic. Rijeka ref Ivan Bebek won the Best Referee title, while Domagoj Drozdjek (Varazdin) won Best 2^nd League player. Additionally, Dario Marinovic (El Pozo Murcia) was voted Best Futsal Player. Best Women’s Football Player went to Iva Landeka (Rosengard).

Barisic among the Best

The Croatian Football TV organized the rundown of best goals and saves in the HT 1^st League of Croatia (S2017/18). Osijek’s prime squad player Petar Bockaj was awarded the Best Goal Scored for the goal scored against Rijeka during the 13^th match of the Season, Osijek winning 2-1., where Pero shot a victory goal during a free kick. Hajduk’s goalkeeper Karlo Letica won the Best Save title, also against Rijeka. For the Best Eleven award, HNTV’s top 11 were: Dominik Livakovic (Dinamo), Josip Juranovic (Hajduk), Zoran Nizic (Hajduk), Dario Zuparic (Rijeka), Borna Barisic (Osijek), Arian Ademi (Dinamo), Filip Bradaric (Rijeka), Lovro Majer (Lokomotiva), Hilal Soudani (Dinamo), Heber Araujo dos Santos (Rijeka) and Mirko Ivanovski (Slaven Belupo).
