Most of the Estate in Pampas is owned by Osijek, with new real estate being planned.
After the preparatory tasks are done, the construction will commence until mid-July. Until then, the area will be cleared of trees and the terrain flattened for all the work to be successfully done.
It has been known for quite some time now that the new high school building will be constructed (for I. Gimnazija Osijek), spanning from Kanizlic Street to Petefy’s Street. This zone will most likely be an urbanized area in the future in which affluent people will move and live. Most of the plot is owned by the City of Osijek, while privately own areas are mostly greenhouses and gardens.
Revitalization of Pampas
The goal is to transform the swamp area into a new city district. Hrvatske Vode is already working on a pump station so that the area can be cleared of moisture. Besides that, the city plans the expansion of Kanizlic Street, which will “make a turn” and run parallel to Petefy’s Street, also being connected with the main city and secondary routes
It’s clear that this project is taken seriously by all parties, where a new district will be created with its own city square.
