The young Frenchman (20) favors the right-back position and is on loan in Osijek, hailing from Juventus.
Roger Tamba M’Pinda arrives. It is interesting that Juventus sent this young defender to Osijek, him having played on Juventus’ U-23 team. The Nyon-native Frenchman is 1,87m tall, but what’s interesting is that he signed the contract with Osijek on his 20th birthday.
“That was obviously his birthday wish- to be playing for Osijek, so that he signed the contract this Monday” Director Alen Petrovic commented.
Boxes to be Ticked Off
M’Pinda will spend 1 year in Osijek, with the team leaders being able to buy him off at the end of the contract if they wish. Last season, he played on WSG Wattens from Austria, where he played 21 matches, scoring once and assisting twice. His position of choice is right-back. The stories regarding him were in good spirits, being lauded for his strength and endurance, but it is up to the HQ to adequately prepare him for the coming matches and to place him in a good spot within the team clockwork. It’s expected that it will take time for him to acclimate to the team and the demands he must meet, but he is young and adaptable, being only 20 years old.
Cooperation with Juventus
The young French-Black man started his career in Bourgoin. When he was only 17, he found himself in Juventus. He was on loan in Ascoli FC, played in the Italian Primavera, and finally found his way to Gradski Vrt, where a grand cooperation between Osijek and Juventus results in his being here.
We believe that Roger’s expertise will prove pivotal in the coming league games, especially considering that he comes from an Austrian team, just as our player, Robert Mudrazija, who is now a standard player of the primary squad.
M’Pinda had other offers to choose from, namely from Austria and Belgium, but Juventus decided to go with Osijek.
