The up until recently acting Osijek captain received Dalic’s phone call, while our young midfielder joins the U-21 National roster yet again.
In Algarve Stadium during a friendly match on the 6th of September, Portugal and Croatia will go head to head against each other in a friendly match. 5 days later, Croatia will play against Spain in UEFA’s National League. Zlatko Dalic called 25 players in total, with Osijek’s ex-captain Borna Barisic among them, who is now playing for the Glasgow Rangers.
8 New Faces in the A Team
Danijel Subasic, Mario Mandzukic and Vedran Corluka won’t be playing, as they’ve left the national team. Players that didn’t play in the World Cup, but were nevertheless called would be: Karlo Letica, Antonio Milić, Matej Mitrović, Ivan Santini, Marko Livaja, Marko Rog & Mario Pašalić. The Croatian national team will come to Portugal on September 3rd where they will spend 6 days before embarking for Elche to play against Spain in the UEFA Nations League.
Against Belarus
Arguably the best player in Osijek, Robert Mudrazija, joins the U-21 national team, where he will play during the qualifiers for the European championship in 2019 in Italy and San Marino. The match against Belarus is slated for September 10th in Grodno.
Radeljic Stays on the List
The qualifiers continue and BiH’s team is to play against Switzerland and Romania. Bosnia and Herzegovina’s U-21 coach Vinko Marinovic invited Stjepan Radeljic to the fold, Osijek’s new A-lister who had played for B&H during his stay in Stuttgart II.
