The Bulgarian midfielder has joined his boyhood club on a one-year loan.
Stanislav Shopov will not feature for NK Osijek this season. Our midfielder will continue the campaign with his boyhood club, Bulgarian side Botev, after a loan deal was agreed until the summer of 2027, with an option to buy. He arrived at Opus Arena just over a year ago from CSKA Sofia. So far, he has made 14 appearances in the White and Blue shirt and scored one goal, in the Cup match against Uljanik.
Unfortunately, Shopov has struggled with injuries, which have prevented him from showing everything he is capable of. He missed a large part of last season as a result, while the lengthy recovery following anterior cruciate ligament surgery also prevented him from competing for a place in our team this summer.
