Nail Omerović will continue his career at Portuguese club Estoril, a member of the Primeira Liga.
He joined Osijek in 2021 from Tuzla-based Sloboda, having started his journey with Osijek II. Through hard work and his quality, he earned a place in the first team and, over the past few seasons, became an important and reliable member of the squad.
Omerović made 132 appearances for Osijek’s first team, scoring 19 goals and providing eight assists, while he has found the net five times in the SuperSport HNL this season. His performances also earned him call-ups to the Bosnia and Herzegovina U21 national team before subsequently receiving his first senior international call-up.
“Nail made a significant contribution to our team and, through his journey from Osijek II to the first team, showed what can be achieved through hard work and dedication. We thank him for everything he has given to Osijek and wish him every success at Estoril,” said Sporting Director Kenneth Zandvliet.
We would like to thank Nail for his professionalism, dedication and everything he has given to the white-and-blue shirt. We wish him plenty of happiness and success in his new challenge in Portugal.
