In just four days, our youth teams played two league matches each.
At the NK Osijek Football School, the result is never the only measure of success. Every HNL youth match is first and foremost an opportunity to learn, develop individual qualities and prepare our players for the demands of senior football. The coaching staff continuously monitors the progress of each individual player, and it is precisely this development path towards the first team that remains the priority — regardless of the outcome of any particular match.
In the fourth round, the juniors welcomed their counterparts from Lučko at Opus Arena and recorded a 2:0 victory, with goals from Karlo Tomašević in the 65th minute and Petar Turić in stoppage time. The lineup was: Adžić, Posavec ('72. Perković), Sabo, I. Ježić, Tadić, Balić, Tomašević ('72. Janjić), Čočaj, Košir ('46. Kolarević), Marković ('46. Turić), Gagulić ('81. Šarić).
In the fifth round, Nikša Petrović's team travelled to Zagreb to face Lokomotiva, with the match ending in a goalless draw, 0:0. The lineup was: Adžić, Tadić, Sabo, Janjić, Vinogradac ('64. Šarić), Balić, Marković ('64. Perković), Košir ('58. Turić), Tomašević ('80. Vinković), Gagulić ('58. Kolarević). After five matches, Osijek have recorded two wins, one draw and two defeats.
The cadets first defeated Lučko 6:1 at Opus Arena, with Josip Lipovac scoring twice in the 17th and 47th minutes, Luka Kolar twice in the 27th and 45th minutes, and Petar Odobašić twice in the 33rd and 64th minutes. The lineup was: Tolić ('79. Janković), Rošta ('79. Kujavec), Crnković, Purgar, Lipovac ('79. Domazet), Cipar, Krasnić ('67. Maltar), Sansao ('55. Đukić), Š.P. Jaman ('67. A few days later, Matej Žitnjak's team faced Lokomotiva at Zagreb's Kajzerica. The hosts won 1:0. The lineup was: Tolić, Rošta ('78. Kujavec), Crnković, Purgar, Lipovac, Cipar, Krasnić ('46. Maltar), Stojanović ('88. Amidžić), Odobašić ('65. Ljubanović), Š.P. Jaman ('65. Đukić), Kolar.
Our team have recorded four wins and one defeat in five rounds and remain at the top of the table.
The U-15 team, coached by Tihomir Rudež, played their second-round match away from home, defeating Sesvete 1:0. Fran Vladika scored the winning goal in the 54th minute. The lineup was: Mokrović, Arlović, Međugorac, Major, Jurčević ('83. Perić), Vukić ('83. Žigić), Đaković ('66. Kocijan), Tot ('57. Masnić), Vladika, Basov ('57. Boduljak), Jarić ('11. Lazić).
The U-17 II team played their second match in the National League pilot project. They also travelled to Sesvete, where they secured a 6:1 victory and recorded their second win. Interestingly, all six goals were scored by different players: Ivano Tadić '26, Rafael Peršić '27, David Uhlik '37, Petar Šimić '45, Luka Bračun '67 and Fran Šarčević '72.
