The White-and-Blues used the international break for a friendly match against BSK, with NK Osijek donating part of the ticket proceeds to the “Udruga Pobjede”.
The friendly match at Opus Arena between the White-and-Blues and first-league side BSK from Bijelo Brdo had a charitable purpose this time as well. Every spectator who purchased a ticket also contributed to the work of the “Udruga Pobjede”, whose volunteers care for abandoned dogs at the Osijek animal shelter. We would like to thank everyone who came to the stands and, in doing so, supported both our players and this worthwhile initiative.
With a number of first-team players currently away on international duty, numerous young players from our Football Academy were given an opportunity. Head coach Federico Bessone remains committed to regularly giving players from the younger age groups a chance to demonstrate their potential, allowing football fans and Osijek supporters to get to know them better.
For our young players, this match was particularly important, as every experience in senior football is valuable to them. The spectators rewarded them with applause once again, which will surely provide them with additional motivation for every training session and match to come.
The game ended in a 1–1 draw, with Leon scoring Osijek’s goal in the 89th minute.
The White and Blues lineup was: Malenica (Ćurčija), Heister (Janjić), Hasić (Sabo), Ljubojević (Jelenić), Kruiver (Lipovac), Petrusenko (Mikolčić), Farkaš (Bakti), Tunjić (Prekodravac), Tomašević (Tadić), Cantero (Leon), and Barić (Balelo).
